 Kurt C. Hofgard, JD, CLU, ChFC, AEP holds a Bachelor of Arts in Western American History with Honors from Stanford University, and he graduated from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon with honors.  He successfully completed the Advanced Estate Planning courses from the American College en route to obtaining the Charted Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designations. 

 Kurt is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Boulder County Bar Association (Business and Estate & Tax Sections), and the Boulder County Estate Planning Council.  Kurt worked at the Oregon Department of Justice for the Credit & Bankruptcy and Charitable Activities Sections before moving back to Colorado. 

 As Principal of Hofgard Insurance, a Boulder family firm of over 55 years, Mr. Hofgard oversees daily sales and servicing of life, disability, and long-term care insurance for business and individual clients, association insurance plans, and overall firm administration.

Kurt was born in and grew up in Boulder, attending Arapahoe Elementary, Douglass Elementary, Platt Junior High, and Fairview High.  He, his wife Linda (also his associate), his daughter Elyssa, and his son Jake live in Louisville. They enjoy music and skiing.
